29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles. Janiec Roofing, Inc, and Chet Janiec does not ensure that employees use appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles. This violation was most recently observed, on or about 1/28/2021, at 11 Harrison Avenue, Saddle Brook, NJ, at instance (a) Two Story Single Family Home (Exterior right side front ): Employees engaged in roofing work using pneumatic nail guns were not wearing eye and face protection. The employer did not ensure that employees using pneumatic nail guns to install roofing material were provided with eye and face protection, thus exposing employees to projectile eye hazards, (b) Two Story Single Family Home (Exterior right side back): Employees engaged in roofing work using pneumatic nail guns were not wearing eye and face protection. The employer did not ensure that employees using pneumatic nail guns to install roofing material were provided with eye and face protection, thus exposing employees to projectile eye hazards, (c) Two Story Single Family Home (Exterior left side front): Employees engaged in roofing work using pneumatic nail guns were not wearing eye and face protection. The Janiec Roofing, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1428641, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/4/21, with respect to a workplace located at 75 East Clinton Ave Bergenfield, NJ 07621.
