29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(12): Ladders used where the employee or the ladder could contact exposed energized electrical equipment did not have nonconductive side rails: Janiec Roofing, Inc, and Chet Janiec does not ensure that the employee or the ladder could contact exposed energized electrical equipment had non conductive side rails. This violation was most recently observed, on or about 1/28/2021, at 11 Harrison Avenue, Saddle Brook, NJ, at instance (a) Two Story Single Family Home (Exterior right side): An employee engaged in roofing work was working within less than three feet from energized power lines while working from a Werner aluminum extension ladder that did not had nonconductive side rails. The employer did not ensure that rails of a ladder used near energized power lines were nonconductive, thus exposing employees to an electrocution hazard. The Janiec Roofing, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(12), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1428641, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/4/21, with respect to a workplace located at 75 East Clinton Ave Bergenfield, NJ 07621.
