Session Overview:
Lean Manufacturing: The Manufacturing Enterprise Partnership (MEP) defines a Lean Enterprise as one that produces more with existing resources by eliminating non-value added activities. Lean's roots come from Toyota Industries in what they call the Toyota Production System (TPS). Shoichiro Toyoda, the founder of Toyota, said that "waste is anything other than the minimum amount of equipment, materials, parts, space, and worker's time which are absolutely necessary to add value to the product." Please join us for an informative "Value-added discussion."
