Session Overview:
In 2005, approximately 2.3 million adolescents ages 16 to 17 worked in the United States. Summer employment can play an integral role in teen development, but young workers have unique risks for work-related injuries and illnesses. State teen summer work practices are not only beneficial to employers and teens alike, it's the law. Our panel will discuss unique characteristics of teen workers, child labor practices, and lead a discussion on teen safety and health practices. Please join us for this informative discussion on teen summer safety.
