The Montana Department of Labor and Industry, Safety and Health Bureau is offering FREE training to employers and workers throughout the state. The Department’s Education and Outreach section hosts four SafetyFest events per year in various locations throughout the state. The Montana Consultation Program participates by providing quality training, promotion of consultation services, and networks with area businesses.

Registration for the fantastic line up of classes available at SafetyFestMT: Bozeman 2016 currently open spaces are limited, so don't wait! Over 35 workplace safety and health subjects are offered, including the following core topics:

  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER
  • 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
  • Workplace Violence

OSHA’s On-site Consultation Program offers free, confidential safety and occupational health advice to small and medium-sized businesses in all states and several territories, with priority given to high-hazard worksites. On-site Consultation services are separate from enforcement and do not result in penalties or citations. Consultants from the state’s agency works with employers to identify workplace hazards, provide advice on compliance with OSHA standards, and assist in establishing injury and illness prevention programs. In Montana, OSHA’s On-site Consultation Program services are provided through the Montana Department of Labor & Industry, Safety and Health Bureau - Consultation Program.
