Description: The Oklahoma Workers Memorial Day Coalition hosts an annual Workers Memorial Day ceremony at the Oklahoma State Capitol on or near April 28 each year. The event is a collaboration between multiple safety and health-focused organizations that work together to organize, plan, and facilitate the memorial each year for families who have lost loved ones in workplace incidents in Oklahoma over the previous calendar year. The event focuses on speakers, a reading of names, and a candlelight moment of silence to remember those workers we have lost. Silhouettes are arranged around the State Capitol Rotunda to represent each fallen worker.
