Alaska State Plan Office
The Alaska State Plan applies to all public and private sector places of employment in the state, with the exception of federal government employees. Federal government employees, including those employed by the United States Postal Service, private sector maritime employers such as shipyards, floating seafood processors, and long shoring; offshore oil platforms and production facilities; certain Indian Health Service hospitals and clinics; and all private and federal sector employment within the National Parks and a series of missile defense bases, are covered by OSHA.
