Investigation Summary
At 6:35 a.m. on October 9, 2017, an employee was working from a scissor lift to apply joint compound to a newly install drywall. The gate for the scissor lift was wired open, which the employee fell through the opening and landed on a concrete surface approximately 12 feet to below. According to another employee, the injured employee landed on his right side and struck the right side of his head. The employee was killed as a result of his injuries.
