Investigation Summary
On July 7, 2020, an employee had who had been working as a Health Aide assisting residents at a skilled nursing facility died from COVID-19. The employee's tasks included assisting employees with their personal needs including feeding and cleaning them. The employee worked throughout the facility. The employee began experiencing symptoms related to a potential COVID-19 infection before her death. The employer did not have an adequate respiratory protection program in place.
