Investigation Summary
Employee #1 and Employee #2 worked for an elementary school. Employee #1 worked as a bus driver for the school district. Employee #2 worked as an office receptionist in the school's Curriculum and Instruction Department. On October 7, 2020, Employee #1 was admitted to the hospital for complications related to COVID-19. On October 25, 2020, Employee #2 was hospitalized due to complications related to COVID-19. The employer had multiple coworkers test positive in the Curriculum and Instruction Department and took steps to quarantine/isolate those who had been in close contact with Employee #2. The date, time and other details leading up to how Employee #1 and Employee #2 were exposed are not indicated in the narrative.
