Investigation Summary
An employee worked as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) at a nursing care facility. The employee was assigned to work in the COVID-19 Unit at the facility. On December 23, 2020, the employee tested positive for COVID-19 as part of routine facility testing. A few days later, the employee was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she died on January 17, 2021.
