Investigation Summary
An employee was working as a care partner at a general medical or surgical hospital. On August 26, 2021, while she was working in the emergency department, providing care to COVID-19 patients, she became ill. She tested positive for COVID-19 on the same day. On September 1, 2021, she was hospitalized, and an RRI was conducted. She died due to complications of COVID-19 on October 2, 2021.
