Investigation Summary
On November 29, 2020, an employee who worked as an Operations Administrator for a General Medical and Surgical Hospital died from COVID-19. The employee was exposed to COVID-19 in the workplace and was admitted into the hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) fifteen (15) days later. After fourteen (14) days in the ICU, the employee's ventilator was removed and she died from complications related to COVID-19. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
